GREAT AMERICAN CLEAN-UP IN ARKANSAS
It's that time again when the community comes together to do a little spring cleaning in our local area. This year, the SEBASCOTT Economic Development Council is sponsoring several area clean-ups. This is part of a national effort every year to remove eyesores and restore our natural environment. This year, on April 4th, we'll have two teams working on Hwy 96, between Mansfield and Hartford. This eight-mile stretch of roadway is in need of some attention and teams will start in both communities and work toward the middle. Marion Mathis, the Executive Director of SEBASCOTT, will direct this project and provide a noon meal for all the workers. If your group would like to help on the Hwy 96 project, please check out our website at: www.sebascott.org. E-mail Marion at marion.mathis@sebascott.org.
On April 18th, SEBASCOTT President, Richard McKinney will organize teams to clean up historic Hwy 71 (Coker Street), from the Pink-Bud Nursing Home to Clark's Chapel Road and West Center Street, from downtown Greenwood to Hwy 71. If you or your organization would like to get involved with this project in the Greenwood area, contact Richard at richard.mckinney@sebascott.org.
Both community projects will start at 8am and conclude at noon. Please pitch in and help. All the refreshments and equipment will be provided.
